I read bed books as "bed bugs." Yuck!
I know what you mean by feeling 103 sometimes when it comes to all this social media.
Thanks for posting to your FB page. My friend Susan emailed me about how much she loved your book and passed it on to her daughter. She created and taught a college course called "Film as Literature" so it's high praise coming from her.
Okay, back to my novel.

I'll send you a photo. I do this for all my writing/author pals here in the Northwest and beyond. I think it's encouraging to see where a book is and how it's displayed.

I use our B&N store for a writing office on M&Fs and can see the tables of books. Your stack of THE LANTERN has shortened considerably and have been tempted to ask one of the employees how often they've replenished it. :) One thing about the cover--it stands out on a table of other books.
Hope sales are booming.

Meg Waite Clayton said… Deborah, We're delighted to have you in the novelist group! And lovely to have you in BB&W as well.
For Novelsits, you might introduce yourself by telling us what you’re working on in the “Show Me Your Novel and I’ll Show You Mine” discussion if you're not too uncomfortable talking about what you're working on. We save the wall for discussion, so please refrain from linking to blog posts there, but do add them in the “Links to Helpful Blog Posts for Writers” discussion thread.
And we do a live chat on Fridays at 3EST; instructions on how to participate are in the "Our Water Cooler" box near the top of the group page.

Valerie Brooks said… You're welcome, Deborah. The Lantern is soooo good. Love your lyrical writing, not something I've come across much of lately. Ah, lavender fields. So different than the scent of a lavender candle. :) I'm planning a major trip back to Paris and France for 2013, so your novel is perfection in the timing.
Hi Deborah! Thanks for adding me on your friend list and for recommending this site to me in the first place! I'm still trying to find my way around, but it looks like a great place to meet other writers/bloggers.
