Who am I
I am the author of Sympathetic People (Iowa Fiction Award Finalist and 2015 IndieBook Awards Finalist), Sometimes You Sense the Difference (chapbook), and The Silver Baron's Wife (PEN/New England Discovery Award winner, 2017 Paterson Fiction Prize Finalist, Finalist in General Fiction and Historical Fiction Foreword Reviews 2017 Best Book Awards). My work has appeared in Ascent, Beloit Poetry Journal, Writers Digest, Poet Lore, Prairie Schooner, Virginia Quarterly Review, Puerto del Sol, and elsewhere. I was a founding Poetry Editor at Bellevue Literary Review and founded and publish Tiferet Journal. Other awards include a scholarship from Bread Loaf, fellowships from Johns Hopkins University and the New Jersey Council for the Arts, prizes from the Poetry Societies of Virginia and New Hampshire, an Honorable Mention from the Allen E.
