Other information

I co-run The Indie Exchange, a website designed to bring bloggers, authors and readers together. I also blog with my husband at Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dave.

I have a small volume of three short stories on Amazon: Double-take Tales includes Poison, C'est La Vie and Round Trip.

Three dark, sardonic short stories that will have you expecting the unexpected:

In "Poison," a psychologically abused wife discovers that her husband's nut allergy may be the solution to all her problems.

In "Round Trip," a five pound note passes through desperate hands, greedy hands and tired hands before coming full circle…accompanied by a big surprise.

In "Ç'est La Vie," the police bungle a murder investigation under the watchful eye of someone uncomfortably close to the killing.

Thank you.

I have a rescued cat too. She came by one day and decided to sleep in my flower pot. We took pity on her because she was so thin, or so we thought. But she's just old and small. Never weighs more than 5 pounds.

I've off to a writers' conference this weekend.

Even a genius can be played for a pawn by a cunning and deadly manipulator.

Unraveling the twisted…

Why Fezariu's Epiphany will always be my favourite book of 2011

Posted on December 28, 2011 at 4:07pm 0 Comments

I didn't review Fezariu's Epiphany - I had too much invested in the book to be objective about it - but I'd like to explain why it has to be my favourite book of 2011.

Allow me to give you a bit of history.  I met David in 2008 when we were working for the same company.  We barely knew one another but knew we shared a love of literature.  I convinced David to share some of his writing with me and he complied.  Then he discovered what…

Book review: Flidderbugs - Jonathan Gould

Blurb

As Kriffle the Flidderbug investigates why his fellow ‘bugs find it impossible to agree on the pressing issue of how many points there are on the leaves of the tree on which they live, he finds that the truth is more complicated, and ultimately more terrifying, than he ever could have imagined.

Flidderbugs is a political satire, a modern fable, or maybe just a funny little story about a bunch of insects with some very peculiar…
