I am a 30-year newspaper reporter/editor and for 23 years have been lifestyles (Neighbors) Editor at The Courier-Times in New Castle. I am also editor of the full-color quarterly HER MAGAZINE FOR WOMEN. I have freelanced for various magazines through the years. I recently wrote my first novel and am looking to self-publish. Right now, my main hobby is getting the book ready and finding the right self-publisher and timing to launch it. I am married (34 years) and have two adult sons and one daughter-in-law. I am active in my church and co-leader of a women's life / Bible study group.

My first book is ready ... maybe.
At least I am ready to take the next step toward getting it published. It is called "Sweetland of Liberty." It is a fictional story of a widow who buys the nicest house in her hometown, moves there, and opens a bed and breakfast. But not everyone is happy about that.
