- Prior to the release of my first novel Saving Cinderella, I wrote a community column and human interest features for a local newspaper. I am a former book reviewer for Affaire de Coeur magazine. We're not supposed to comment on the Blooming Late Journal submissions, but I just read yours and I couldn't resist. That's why it's here and not on the Blooming Late page. I loved your little story - about your son and his pride. It was so touching. I wonder, are your children as proud of your writing as they were of your soldiering? I bet not. Our society never puts writers on a pedestal. Pity that. We're doing an important job, probably more important than soldiers. We're nurturing minds and souls of the next generation.

Luv that doggie on the first page with your photo too-that breed always seems like they are stuffed animals magically come to life to me, lol. I know, a writers imagination!
We have a great group of gals here who are a real source of support, encouragement and inspiration for writing and I am glad you are among them!
