"Thanks, Danielle. Beautiful story. I tried commenting (twice) but it hasn't shown up. If you have comment moderation on, you can just ignore the second one.
Since everyone has been advertising their blog posts here, I'll add my most…"
"Makes sense. Since my book is on the Serenity Prayer, I could at least target people interested in that. Although it is not a recovery book, it has gotten a good response from people in recovery, so I listed that as a keyword also. The advantage of…"
"I did experiment with click through advertising, but as you say, it is hard to measure "bang for your buck." I tried GoogleAds and Facebook, as well as an ad on a Quaker website since I am a Quaker and figured I already had some name…"
"For those of you who have mentioned that you have books coming out soon, too, here's another idea: start a SheWrites group for people with pub dates in February 2012 (or whenever). Someone did that for the month my book was released, and we…"
"Good luck, Jan! You've already mastered what should be #1 for an author--start early! In addition to the things you've listed, I would add bookstore and library events. When I was promoting my most recent book The Wisdom to Know the…"

You can write about anything you want. For example: the process of writing your book, an excerpt from the book, a personal narrative, something about writing, a short essay or anything you like. I'd also like the opportunity to write a guest post on your blog or website.
Thank you! I forwarded your article on caregiving to my cousin. She is dealing with a difficult set of circumstances with her father, my uncle. And I have been trying to help her find peace with what she can't control. Your article was perfect--thank you!
Hi there -- just wanted to drop by your page and invite you personally (or at least virtually) to our first-ever She Writes Philadelphia meetup, celebrating our first-anniversary! We are so grateful to the event's organizer, Jessica Keenan Smith, for taking a risk and stepping up to host. I hope you will support her and bring yourself and other women who write (no need for them to be members) to the Philadelphia gathering. At the meetup writers will take part in the She Writes "Book Communion," where attendees arrive with one book, their own or another She Writers', new or gently used, and leave with another book as a meaningfully way to support one another's work. We will also be blowing out a candle and making a wish for our upcoming writing year -- along with She Writers gathering in 16 cities around the country. I hope you will be part of this historic (well, at least kind of cool) occasion, and RSVP now to Jessica here.
I'd love to meet in Venice. I will be there from June 27 to July 15. I've rented an apartment. I write for film, radio (features), non-fiction and fiction. Right now I'm working on a book to be published next year.
