Hello Elizabeth!
I want to Thank You for joining my group Blooming Late!
I saw your blog link in your profile and I really think your assesment of the medieval literature you studied is incredibly interesting and I had no idea there was such a disdain and discounting of it by the writing community! It makes me wonder what OUR own writing will be assesed as in a thousand years! I also think that some of the reason for the bad reviews of the particular book you were mentioning is a result of people nowadays not wanting to be told what is right and wrong but like to think that such sensibilities are outdated and outmoded but in my opinion actually are what's missing today, maybe it is something you are meant to do, keep their world alive by reawakening this era to their words. Just a thought.
I also think your new life goals are very honest, I went through a similar life reassesment a few years ago as a result of a Near Death Experience with subsequent disability and is what ultimately led me to start this group and spur me on to my writing goals and has fulfilled me in ways I never thought possible.
Anyway, when you have time please introduce yourself to the group in the To kick Things Off discussion and let us know your writing acomplishements and goals.
We have a wonderful group of ladies in various levels of the writing life who are great sources of support, encouragement and inspiration for writing and I hope you can find a writing home with us.
We have lots of discussions and things to help out with whatever your writing needs are so please look around and see what might be a help to you.
I am glad you are here and WELCOME to our group!

Welcome to the Southern Writers group. First, please visit our "Kitchen Sink" discussion to get into the swing of things. Also, be sure to introduce yourself on the "Roll Call" discussion thread, and then just jump in and do what you like. Start a discussion, ask questions, or just tell us what you've been up to. We're a casual, friendly bunch :)
Be sure to let us all know how you found out about our little group here on She Writes!
Hi Elizabeth!
It's nice to meet you, too! Glad you L'dOL! I may want to change that to I'll stop doing laundry... not sure which is worse right now! :)
I see you're in Gainesville. My home base is Tallahassee but I'm in Hawaii at the moment because of a temporary move for my hubby's job. Love it here. Weather is always nice, no mosquitoes and super low humidity!
I see you are brave, like me, and have signed up for SheWriMo. Best of luck sticking to your plan. I know I'll need it!

Meg Waite Clayton said… Glad to have you in the novelist group! You might introduce yourself by telling us what you’re working on in the “Show Me Your Novel and I’ll Show You Mine” discussion if you're not too uncomfortable talking about what you're working on. And we do a live chat every Wednesday; hope you can join us for that!
