JUNE BUG VERSUS HURRICANE is a memoir about my brother Chan and me growing up between the Governor's mansion in Kentucky and Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. Our struggle to come of age, armed with conflicting values of the old south and the gaudy, glamour of 70's and 80's Vegas. It's about how we led separate but parallel lives as self-destructive adults and how I coped with his untimely death at age 30 playing Russion roullette.

Nick Cassavetes (The Notebook, My Sisters Keeper) has written a screenplay based on my book. June Bug Versus Hurricane was also a successful play, produced last year in Los Angeles at the Lost Studio.

I have written a collection of short stories in the same non-fiction vein.
