We'll be in Paris from Sept 19 - 29th so you may be gone by then. We get to NYC several times a year though. So one way or the other perhaps?

Eunice, I use twitter for lots of things. I follow many writers (that's how I heard about SheWrites), many people involved in the nonprofit world, human rights people, disaster relief issues and Jewish people and organizations. I used to get caught up in political discussions but I finally decided I'd rather drive a nail through my forehead than listen to people blabber on about Washington politics.

My husband and I are going to Paris in September after the Jewish holidays. How much time do you spend there? We rented an apt rather than stay in a hotel.

Thank you for your welcome, Eunice, and "French Seduction" is duly ordered! Looking forward to it. My own book, "Singular Women", is close to my heart as well, as a small child would be that one has sent out into the world!

I am new to She Writes, and in my former life was an art historian, specializing in feminist historiography. I am an ardent admirer of "Alias Olympia" and enjoyed reading and teaching it for many years in New York, at Hunter College.

I am now a food writer in London. I will order "French Seduction" right away as I have just finished "In Memory's Kitchen," the story of a Holocaust camp cookbook written by the grandmother of a writer in New York. And "Americans in London" is on my bedside table, the story of several Americans who chose to stay in London during the blitz. That period is so fascinating. I'm looking forward to your new book.

LOL, on to myself all right. Not that it helps much. I've thought of creating a fictitious editor who receives my manuscripts (plural) in the mail, but my hidden self didn't fall for that trick.
