Because I have a voice! - digging deeper into The King's Speech

The words spoken by Bertie (George VI) to Lionel Logue, his speech therapist. This one phrase draws together a multitude of insecurities, pain, fear of ridicule and frustration that have cast a shadow over Bertie’s life.

His stammer has been at the root of much of his misery. It caused…

Take time to think, take time to live

Posted on November 9, 2011 at 1:51am 0 Comments

I haven’t done much writing lately. I have done a lot of thinking. I have been thinking, and observing and analyzing.  We live in a world of over-stimulation and sometimes you need to slow down and let everything sink in; permeate your consciousness so that you can make sense of it all.

It was a society where strengths were taken for granted, even ignored. Natural talents,…

Not to be taken too seriously - well - not unless you want to!!!

PMS to OMS to YMS

At about the age of fourteen the majority of women will become acquainted with the all too frequently recurring phenomenon of PMS. By late thirties or early forties, many of them will experience the disturbing OMS and by the time fifty creeps up on them another percentage will have moved into the YMS phase of their lives.

It is this third and… Continue
