Why Do You Write and What's Your Process

As an author, psychotherapist, wife, and mother who also does abstract paintings and studies her dreams I am incredibly interested in hearing authors discuss what brought them to writing, and the process by which they continue creating.

Who I am:
My name is Giovanna. I am turning 40 next month and my motto right now is Re-Defining Fabulous! I love my life. I am a mother of one son, Jordan, who's twenty months old and I am in a very fulfilling relationship with his father. I work full time in the non-profit industry, but I also am an entrepreneur and own my own personal and professional development business where I write, speak, train and facilitate various workshops and seminars. I encourage you to consider submitting an essay where you answer the question.
This is a great way to introduce yourself and a good promotional opportunity.
