Reading and Writing, Oxford and London

Posted on April 6, 2011 at 3:05am 0 Comments

Last nigh t's event at The Albion Beatnik Bookstore in Oxford went very well. The place was packed out with lovely, interesting people, many of whom are regulars at the store's events. Thanks to everyone who turned up to be part of such a warm, appreciative audience - it was a very impressive attendance for a Monday night, especially as the Oxford Literary Festival…

Helen -
Be sure to check all the concurrent events, likes New York Book Week. I'm going to an event at Barnes & Noble on that Tuesday night with people I'm trying to interview for my book. Lots of stuff going on. I'll be in the EDC Educational Services booth (Usborne Books), and will let you know the booth # (in the children's books area).

Helen - It would be great to meet up at BEA! I'm also there for DIY on the 21st. Monday the 23rd, I have to go to Connecticut for a meeting with the Voices of September 11 people (related to my book); will be at Javits the rest of the time. I'm working a booth part of the time, but not a lot. I'd love to find out who else from She Writes will be there,

Hi Helen,
Great. I was going to friend-request you as well. (I had to wriggle that ugly compound out of me)

Just a thought - when you're looking at the groups, you might want to check to see how recent activity is, and see what's being discussed. I like being in a variety of groups including a few that aren't my field because a lot of stuff that gets posted can trigger thoughts.

I just saw you're following me on Twitter - I'll now follow you.

All the best
Pauline

Hi Helen,
I've just come across you and thought I'd say a belated welcome to She Writes. I'd strongly recommend you join several groups. I'm finding inspiration - and motivation - from all the ones I've joined. And the way people share their knowledge and give you support is a rare blessing.
All good wishes
Pauline
