I've just published a FREE E-BOOK! It's a selection of over 200 of the very very short stories I've been posting to twitter fans over the last year. This is the link: Between Blinks. It's formatted for kindle and other e-readers, or it can be read online or downloaded to your computer. I'd love to share these stories with you!

I’m having a great time publishing on Scribd.com. I’ve reached over 20,000 readers with my work. I’ve published 11 pieces now, including 4 novel excerpts and 3 short stories. To catch my work on Scribd, click here: Blue Fern Press on Scribd.

I’m also having a lot of fun publishing Blue Fern Twitter Tales regularly (more or less once a day). You can receive them by following me either on Twitter (Blue Fern Press on Twitter) or Facebook (Blue Fern Press on Facebook). I’m getting great response to them. I hope you'll enjoy them, too. Fans say they're a quick, satisfying read in the midst of a busy day.

My novels-in-progress are somewhat in limbo, as I’ve been ill. I live with metastatic breast cancer, and I’m bipolar, so life makes art hard sometimes. But I do still hope to self-publish an e-book of my novel, Riversbend Elegy, for guns, sax and harp some time in the next year.

I’d be delighted to hear from you. Please let me know what you think! You can respond on Scribd, Twitter, or Facebook at the links above. Or check out my websites: Janet Ference and Blue Fern Press. And, of course, you can also message me directly here on She Writes!

I was an artist-in-residence at Z Space Studio. I did readings and workshop productions of some of my work. I now write primarily short fiction, and I have a couple of novels in progress. My first novel manuscript, "Seeking Sequitur," remains in first draft form. My second, "Riversbend Elegy for guns, sax, and harp," is in a final revisions phase, and I hope to publish it as an e-book sometime this year. I also have a third novel well along in progress, "Flying Through The Air With No Particular Ease."
