"My 2nd nonfiction book was totally re-cast (twice), thoroughly revised, finished, polished, & ready to go. I figured I'd ask one more trusted colleague to give it one last once-over "just for the big things." He did that, and…"
"I think I'm confused. I've been saving all important stuff (my BOOK!) to GoogleDocs, which is free. Is there something wrong with that that I don't know about?
Also, I always save to a flash drive.
"Wow! Mary Jo Bang on She Writes! I *love* your work. Thank you for the poems.
And thank you for cautioning us not to allow ourselves to be so easily convinced that we can't "have what [we] most want . . . ."
"How is it that She Writes so often reads my mind?! I got derailed in June, when my publisher backed out of the contract (3 months before the publication date) out of fears that my nonfiction book might draw lawsuits from someone mentioned (not…"
"Hi Janet, did you post your message one the wall in History & Biography Writers? If not, try that. I'm so sorry to hear you're going through this. I would probably seek legal advice from someone who specializes in publishing issues.…"
Thank you for this post, and all the best with your book.
This is SO me! I'm an academic, too, plus an extreme introvert. For my first book, I somehow got through a lot of radio interviews, and it was only on one that I filled the…"
Whew, looks like i'm the village elder in this group--which is fine with me. I hope it's good with you all. I'm also a flaming introvert. But I love Boston (been here 16 years now), and I'm a writer, so I'm giving…"
You won't believe how I found you here, Michelle. I was just idly browsing photos and thought I saw you. And it IS you! I've been on She Writes for maybe a month, but this is the first comment I've sent. I'm still…"

Books I've written, anthologies I've contributed to, and any scripts or plays I've authored:
1st book: Regret: The Persistence of the Possible (Oxford, 1993).
2nd book: Revolution and Conscience: Ex-Fugitive Katherine Ann Power (forthcoming--pending a publishing glitch??).
I've won 2 national poetry competitions, one that'll be announced in the July/August (I think) issue of Poets & Writers.

My writing is:
Outlets where I review books, TV, or film:

Services I offer to other writers:
When I'm not meeting a book deadline (as I am now), I offer editing feedback to other writers.
