Books I've written, anthologies I've contributed to and any scripts or plays I've authored
I have a litany of published newspaper and freelance articles ranging from covering city council meetings, to features of local personalities, to breaking "local news," all in the past.
Currently I have finished my manuscript of my first book tentatively entitled "Famille Cowabunga..." a memoir of our family's 10 years living and sailing on a sailboat from France to San Francisco with our two small children (complete with danger, intrique, sudden death...). It is now in an editor's hands, and tweaking will soon begin. I'm looking at having something to submit (to She Writes Press, I hope?) by the end of 2015, early 2016.
The story is compiled from my Vignettes From Cowabunga on www.janiscouvreux.com and soon the vignette "Thirty Days" is slated to be live on Luna Magazine website week of July 6, 2015.

I formerly worked for local newspapers and magazines in Sonoma County, articles for Vintage Magazine way back when I worked in PR for Bordeaux Wines in France. More recently I have been longtime independent editor-copywriter writing Press Releases, brochures, ads, bios, and web copy for clients. Now am concentrating full time on this memoir, with another idea in the works for second one.
