Hi there -- just wanted to drop by your page and invite you personally (or at least virtually) to our first-ever She Writes Chicago meetup, celebrating our first-anniversary! We are so grateful to the event's organizer, Eileen O'Halloran, for taking a risk and stepping up to host. I hope you will support her and bring yourself and other women who write (no need for them to be members) to the Chicago gathering. At the meetup writers will take part in the She Writes "Book Communion," where attendees arrive with one book, their own or another She Writers', new or gently used, and leave with another book as a meaningfully way to support one another's work. We will also be blowing out a candle and making a wish for our upcoming writing year -- along with She Writers gathering in 16 cities around the country. I hope you will be part of this historic (well, at least kind of cool) occasion, and RSVP now to Eileen here.

Hi Jennifer,
As far as social net working goes, I would think it more interesting to be on facebook. Which I am I am Gloria Ehrlich on facebook, I enjoy so many of the people that want to be your friend, if I find stuff annoying, I just discontinue the friendship which is an option. There are different types of apps available I also like twitter if I can just figure out why when I go to reply it dosen't send the message. It is a strange medium. I haven't found publishing outlets just yet, but I do get invited to e-lance and other places where you pay to get into their web sites. I love to write, even though I am older I will be going for the big 50 in Nov. I am willing to return to school and take courses in Eng. Lit. I hope you will come and visit some of my writing, I am also on blog.com under gragusa@blog.com Have a Nice Day Gloria

Dear Jennifer,
Just visited the site Pen and Prosper.I find it intelligent, helpful and unabashedly pragmatic. And yes, there are lots and lots of interesting lessons to learn from "American Idol",as well as another programme I love to watch called "So You Think You Can Dance".Apart from the amazingly talented contestants, I find the equanimity and the humility with which they receive some of the 'judgements' very laudable.i mean some of the comments made by the judges had me fuming in vicarious wrath, but these kids were listening to all that, unfazed. And I tell myself, that's the way to handle rejected manuscripts...and try again and do better.
I like your discussion topics. They are sincerely thought-provoking.
I have so much to tell you and Trace about the African American Festival and some of the Seminars and the movies the American Centre screened. But I am leaving that for later.I have to get to college within the next hour, I have to shop for chocolates and flowers for a friend whose birthday it is today, the marinated chicken is just getting fried to a nice dark golden brown and the cake I baked yesterday has to be refrigerated........HELP!
