[BREALFAST WITH THE MUSE] Three Ways to Take Care of Yourself--and How They Can Improve Your Writing

Posted on June 7, 2016 at 12:30pm 0 Comments

One of the first questions I ask my clients who are bogged down, overwhelmed, or stuck is, “How do you take care of yourself?” Most cannot answer. Many have never thought about it. Some think the question is silly or self-indulgent.

If you’re a writer who seldom thinks about self-care, ask yourself…

[BREAKFAST WITH THE MUSE] When Things Go Wrong, Don't Go With Them: How I Survived My Website Crisis

Posted on May 16, 2016 at 7:30am 6 Comments

Last week, I had a website crisis.

If you have to have a crisis, a website crisis is far from the worst. It wasn’t a national crisis, or a health crisis, or a family crisis. Still, it felt big—catastrophic, even—and sent me dangerously close to a yawning…

[BREAKFAST WITH THE MUSE] Three Essential Questions that Will Make Your Scenes Unforgettable

Posted on May 2, 2016 at 7:00am 4 Comments

We’ve all read books we couldn’t put down. For me, it was Game of Thrones. One page on vacation with my husband, and I ended up spending our entire trip with my nose in the book. For others it might be Harry Potter, or The Hunger Games, one of the classics, or some obscure book that no one else cared for. Each of us has some work that pulled us into the story so fully we could hardly pry ourselves away. A writing teacher…

Hi again Jill

lol, I saw how that last comment on here printed which was weird! I wanted you to know I wasn't cussing at you! lol Apparently it cut off at the ll's and printed the o and your name at the very end of the note-HOW in the world that could have even happened is beyond me! But when it comes to weird stuff it usually happens to me. So I wanted to apologize and let you know that I am grateful that you joined Blooming Late. :)

Hell

Thank you for joining my group Blooming Late! I want to personally welcome you to this group of creative ladies.

It is impressive and VERY inspirational all the work you have accomplished since you started writing at 42. I also heeded the "call" after a lifetime of putting it off and so can relate, but I am not yet published. I am grateful you chose to come here and hope we can be even more of a help to your writing career!

Now, Let me fill you in a bit about the group. There are many great women like you in here from all over the world who are writing for all age groups, genres and are in all levels of writing from beginner to professional, and in all forms of publishing. We come from all walks of life and are as diversified here as the world itself is, but the one thing that is our bond is the desire to see one another do well with our writing in this second half of life and help each other get to the success that each of us defines for ourselves. I am sure you will find there are many places here where you will fit right in.

I want to steer you to our front page where the group wall is and you can introduce yourself, there is also the basic greeting for all members right above that which will give you more help in finding your way around the Blooming Late site a bit better.

Also, you may already know that when you joined SheWrites there were pre-set settings for the groups when it came to receiving emails, you can always adjust them so you do not get everything, however, I would please ask if you could make sure that you are able to get our group emails. I usually email once a month to keep the entire group posted of anything new that went on in the past month. Thank You. :)

And last but not least, f you are on Face Book, we also have a new page for our members to have extra publicity for whatever you publish, whether it be a blog entry, a poem published somewhere or your new book etc. just add the link and other members will share it and while you are in there share theirs for wider publicity for everyone's writing to be noticed! the link is https://www.facebook.com/BloomingLate?ref=br_tf

AND if there is anything that I can personally do to help you, please don't hesitate to ask.

I'm glad you are here and WELCOME to your group.

Samantha Anastacia
