Hi JoAnn! Thanks for responding. I'm afraid I can't speak to the Louisiana poetry scene anymore...we fled there after I had a run-in with the PTA over first-amendment issues (those ladies know how to make you miserable if you cross them). Now we're in NY, up in the 1000 Islands area. Poetry's pretty quiet here, which is one of the reasons I joined She Writes, in hopes of at least getting in touch virtually with fellow poets, and maybe even finding local poets with whom I could form a group.
