The procrastination hour has come and gone with the winds of time; little seeds of doubt and despair are all washed away from the fabric of conscious mind, body and soul. Dreams wait on the sidelines of the last game, eager to fulfill the shoes of the hero last departed; wanting desperately to have one moment in time.

Now that we have officially kicked off a new year, old mistakes should be forgotten, hot pants that can never be allowed to see the light of day have been properly burned on the pyre; I have found some disturbing news about myself. I am a closeted “woulda, coulda, shoulda” mama. Let me back up a minute to how I uncovered this piece of disturbing revelation.…

Hi everyone! I am Joy. As a mom, life took over and my love of reading was put on the back porch until I watched a little movie called "Twilight." At that moment, I said to myself,"Self, this is a great movie. You should check out the book." Well, that one thought led me down a road I never thought I would end up on again. Rebecca Lane Beittel said… I haven't been on SheWrites much lately. Been busy doing my own "thang" I suppose. I'm curious as to what my SheWrites friends are up to, writing-wise, though. Right now, I'm waiting to hear back from 2 agents who have requested my full manuscript of The Time Minders. I'm still working on Kingdoms of Blood & Magic, but not as diligently as I should, since I've been querying/submitting for the TTM, doing scads of tutoring at my daughters' school and work for our church's youth group. Mercedes Keyes said… You need to do it Joy... you need to complete what you've started - for more reasons than I'm willing to say. Once you accomplish - complete - and put it out there, doing so will add to the growth we all do as we become who we were meant to be.
KEEP writing... find a way, find the time, and get it done. Bookcover ... is... covered!
