Death to Procrastination

Posted on March 3, 2012 at 9:36am 14 Comments

The procrastination hour has come and gone with the winds of time; little seeds of doubt and despair are all washed away from the fabric of conscious mind, body and soul. Dreams wait on the sidelines of the last game, eager to fulfill the shoes of the hero last departed; wanting desperately to have one moment in time.

O.k. here it is unpolished and all. I may put on another so do not be…

New beginnings

Now that we have officially kicked off a new year, old mistakes should be forgotten, hot pants that can never be allowed to see the light of day have been properly burned on the pyre; I have found some disturbing news about myself. I am a closeted “woulda, coulda, shoulda” mama. Let me back up a minute to how I uncovered this piece of disturbing revelation.…

Newbie

Hi everyone! I am Joy. As a mom, life took over and my love of reading was put on the back porch until I watched a little movie called "Twilight." At that moment, I said to myself,"Self, this is a great movie. You should check out the book." Well, that one thought led me down a road I never thought I would end up on again. From Myers, I went to Harris, then Briggs and Wilkes, etc. I obviously love paranormal but a good…

I haven't been on SheWrites much lately.  Been busy doing my own "thang" I suppose.  I'm curious as to what my SheWrites friends are up to, writing-wise, though.  Right now, I'm waiting to hear back from 2 agents who have requested my full manuscript of The Time Minders.  I'm still working on Kingdoms of Blood & Magic, but not as diligently as I should, since I've been querying/submitting for the TTM, doing scads of tutoring at my daughters' school and work for our church's youth group.  How about YOU?

Hi Joy.  Colorado is a great place for families - but of course, we're a diverse states with lots of diverse communities.  Fort Collins always ranks high in the nation, but I think the Denver area is great, too.  Colorado Springs is beautiful. Google and you'll find lots of info.  Good luck!
