Who I am:: Retired professor of women and gender studies. Author and editor of books on nineteenth-century women writers, women in history, feminist criticism, and men's movements. My memoir, TASTING HOME: COMING OF AGE IN THE KITCHEN, is forthcoming with She Writes Press in February 2013. I blog about the emotional meanings of food, travel, and gardens at iPinion.us and at http://thejoysofcooking-alovestory.com.
