If you have met me in the flesh, you'll know I'm a bit on the wild side. Artist, animal lover, mountain climber, and author of The Guardian's Wildchild, published by Omnific Publishing 2011. Just as TGW hit the Amazon shelf, I began to write Forbidden. I didn't want to, but the muse insisted. It has required an immense amount of research regarding Islam and the culture of Muslims. Forbidden is written from a neutral point of view with respect to Islam and Muslims. Thankfully, I have a wonderful Muslim consultant who has guided me during the past three years.
Since TGW was published I went from being totally uninformed about social media to becoming adept at promoting my work as well as promoting my author friends' works. And, I still learning.
I live in the north, frozen six months of the year, so there's no excuse for not staying indoors and completing my manuscript. During the summer my sheltie and I hike the hills and valleys of a nearby forest reserve - work off all that winter flab.
I have a wide range of interests. My husband often complains that I'm doing too much and many of my projects are in various stages of completion - photography, crafts, needlework, watercolor painting, genealogy, and best of all I love being with my sheltie and two cats. Husband is pretty good too, even after forty-five years of marriage.
