Profile Information

Who I am:
I am a therapist, teacher, photographer and published author. I am a lover of life and nature. My husband and I live off the grid on a remote 40 acre island, Shelter Island, just off of Drummond Island in the far eastern Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

My friends will tell you that I think outside of the box and am ambitious, determined and very thorough. Others will tell you that I'm one of the most adventurous, brave and courageous people they know. What can I say? I've always been unconventional.

My aunt once gave me a bracelet that said "Well behaved women rarely make history." I've been well behaved all my life, following the rules my parents made me live by. But I also am not afraid to be bold or gutsy and live life to its fullest.

I enjoy hiking, photography, writing, doing yoga, reading, yoga, sailing, snorkeling, anything related to the water, living off the grid, and contra dancing.

I'm currently working on "Art of Winter" a photography coffee table book about the beauty of winter, snow and ice.

Being edited are: "Forty Acres of Heaven" a memoir about living off the grid on a remote island.
"Hidden Knowledge: Reveal Your Body's Hidden Message using SomaCentric Dialoguing" a self-help book to heal your body and your life.

And once I press "Join" I'll think of something else (witty) to add to this.

I'm now singing my own version of the "99 Bottles of Beer on the Wall" song!
Some people have told me they don't understand what it takes to back or pledge to support my book.
It's easy and it doesn't take much.
Pledging is as simple as making a pledge to National Public Radio or Public Television.
You tell them how much you're willing to give and then they tell you all the wonderful items you will receive based on that…

It's been an exciting day, kind of. Will you buy my book?

On my mile hike to work I got to see a sandhill crane and two white-tailed deer. During spring, this is an everyday occurrence. Even though yesterday was the first day of spring, we don't celebrate spring until after the last winter snowstorm. When spring eventually fully arrives, I'll be pining for winter.

So how does this relate to my book? I bought my UPC for my book! That was scary and exciting. It is…
