You, too, April. I'm a tad behind in my correspondence. Like got a little more hectic just when I thought it was slowing down. So it goes. Looking to be back on track very soon. Hope all is going well in your new home. So exciting.

Welcome to shewrites! As a native, 6th generation Texan who is also a member of the Writers League of TX (though I live in NY) and writes fiction about Texas, I'm happy to welcome you to shewrites. Also, as a midlife former lawyer who hopes to establish a writing career and avoid looking for a legal job in this market, and as someone who served as a caregiver for my mother-in-law with Alzheimer's for a while, I'm looking forward to checking out your work. I'm considering establishing a Texas Writers group on shewrites - in the meantime, there is an Austin Writers group that I encourage you to join.
