Welcome to shewrites! As a native, 6th generation Texan who is also a member of the Writers League of TX (though I live in NY) and writes fiction about Texas, I'm happy to welcome you to shewrites. Also, as a midlife former lawyer who hopes to establish a writing career and avoid looking for a legal job in this market, and as someone who served as a caregiver for my mother-in-law with Alzheimer's for a while, I'm looking forward to checking out your work. I'm considering establishing a Texas Writers group on shewrites - in the meantime, there is an Austin Writers group that I encourage you to join.
