I just opened the door to the novelist group for you, June - welcome! You might introduce yourself by telling us what you’re working on in the “Show Me Your Novel and I’ll Show You Mine” discussion if you're not too uncomfortable talking about what you're working on. And we do a live chat every Wednesday; hope you can join us for that!

That sound divine, June. I'm still a bit distracted with all the changes in my "real" job (I probably mentioned that the small business I worked for the past 16 years was acquired by a larger corporation out of Milwaukee last fall?), but I am trying to get to a new normal. I'm mostly working on sonnets right now. Wrestling with them is more like it, but after a couple of months they're beginning to come a bit more naturally.

I heard Ron Messier talk about your press at the Writer's Loft - what he said sounded like you all are really doing things right. I wanted to speak to him afterward but had to leave a bit before the session ended. I don't know if he remembers me from my student days, but please pass along that I was very impressed with what he had to say.

Keep enjoying your quiet days at Jekyll!
