I Didn't Shave My Legs for Sex

I shaved my legs this morning. Sadly no, I'm not getting ready to have sex. Actually, my rule is I shave no leg before its time. When my Neanderthal roots start sprouting, I know it's time. I break out the quad-steel blades and puffy mango cream and get busy. Sadly no, not that busy. What I want to know is who made up the rule that we Western babes weren't acceptably beautiful if we didn't depilatorize? Especially where sex is involved, since sex is such a primal act. What other creature in the…See More

You Are Dead to Me

My Darling,It pains me to tell you this. I don't want to—really, I don't. Alas, I've been plotting your demise. I admit, I had trouble imagining life without you as I reveled in your magnificence. You were virile and sexy, intelligent and witty—like you jumped right out of a Conroy novel—in the beginning. Indeed, you exhibited a passion that left me reeling. I adored everything about you, even your spelling. While I was blind, you were immune to conflict. Every tweak I gave you was for naught.…See More

Welcome to the Baby Boomers Group, KJC. I LOVED your Jack-Catholic blog, and am hoping that you might eventually expand on it a bit for the "Soul" section of BoomUnderground.com. (A piece by a fellow Baby Boomer group member, Diana Raab, was just posted today at http://www.boomunderground.com/soul.html). My take on most things is pretty freaking pagan, so your piece would is what this girl sees as being perfect for the site. I'd also love it if you'd consider writing something for the "Offspring" section???? Anyway, please take a look at BoomUnderground which is still under construction, but somewhat on it's way to being the online version of the magazine I'd most like to work for- I'm going to be posting submission guidelines later today. But regardless of any decision to contribute, I look forward to reading more of your work. You rock! All best- Julie Mihaly
