Who I am:
I am a Columnist and Social Media editor at Lost Daughters (www.thelostdaughters.com) and an assistant editor of Flycatcher Journal (www.flycatcherjournal.org). I serve on the board of directors of the Georgia Writers Association and as an active member of the Georgia Poetry Society. I will graduate in May 2013 with a Master of Arts in Professional Writing from Kennesaw State University. I have published poetry, personal essays, biographical profiles, and book reviews.

One Year Anniversary of BP Oil Spill - She Writers Want to Help the Gulf Coast

Today is the one year anniversary of one of the most devastating man-made catastophes of our time--the BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexio. Despite proclamations to the contrary, many of which come directly from BP, the Gulf Coast is still hurting from the environmental and economic impact of last year's spill.

 

You may not be aware that in December, 2010, the ladies of the Southern Writers group here on She Writes published an anthology to benefit charities serving the Gulf…
