Why Do You Write and What's Your Process

As an author, psychotherapist, wife, and mother who also does abstract paintings and studies her dreams I am incredibly interested in hearing authors discuss what brought them to writing, and the process by which they continue creating.

Congratulations on having your book published!! I’d love to hear more about it. I know you are excited, but nervous too. How do you feel about editing? I kind of like it.
Yes, I on an adventure all right…don’t know where I’m going to wind up with this thing…I just pray when the dust settles I don’t have any regrets. Thank you for your kind words. Really this time I’m giving myself is more for the 2nd book I want to write rather than the one I’ve completed. I’m just doing the last bit of editing on that one. My biggest challenge at the moment is trying to figure out whether to take on the challenge of self-publishing or not. Some people tell me go for it, other’s tell me to hold out for a traditional publishing deal My 2nd book is a non-fiction piece that is a bit related to my novel and I think after I complete the proposal for it I’m going to send a kind of dual query out…if no nibbles, then I think I’ll go ‘head and self-publish. We’ll see!
I’m going to try to keep up my blog…but my first priority is writing my book(s). But please keep in touch and let me know how you’re doing. I’d love to hear about any of your experiences as you travel on your publishing journey. Take care and the best of luck to you!!
