I'm a writer in Oakland, California. I write about music, politics, culture, feminism, life in the Bay Area and occasionally tech at http://futureisfiction.com/blog. I love nachos, open source software, bicycles, and San Francisco.Pet peeves include drivers that don't use turn signals and misuse of the word "literally."

I've been writing a novel since 2006. I have more than 200 pages/200,000 words but, alas, it is not finished yet. My goal for this year is to get criticism on the novel and to get an agent.
