Profile Information

Who I am:
I'm a writer, editor and photographer with more than 30 years of experience. My work includes journalism and corporate editorial writing. I grew up in San Francisco and now live in Sacramento California at the confluence of the American and Sacramento rivers. I have two grown sons and love to garden, be outdoors and practice yoga.

Books I've written, anthologies I've contributed to, and any scripts or plays I've authored:
My debut novel, ADRIFT IN THE SOUND, launched June 15 and now I'm busy trying to sell it in a chaotic marketplace. ADRIFT IN THE SOUND, was the top finalist for the 2011 Mercer Street Books Literary Prize. In addition, I've co-authored BETWEEN THE SHEETS: An intimate Exchange on Writing, Editing, and Publishing. Both may be ordered from independent and online booksellers. I'm currently working on my second novel. My poetry has appeared on various online zines, Including the Centrifugal Eye and anthologized in GEMS OF WISDOM from Age Song Press and Poetry Now from the Sacramento Poetry Center. My short stories have appeared in the AMERICAN RIVER REVIEW.
