By day, I'm the personal assistant to the owner of a gym in Australia and am usually elbow-deep in paperwork. Despite spending my days in front of a computer, I still go home and spend my evenings there too, because I love to write and spend time with my fictional characters, creating and embellishing their stories.

I'm into keeping fit, but only because I know it's good for my long-term health and because I need to exercise to balance out my love for ice cream, chocolate and cheese - all of which I like snacking on while getting lost in a good book. Because as far as I'm concerned life would be boring without books to read and friends to talk about them with.

I have a degree in history, which is why the novel I'm working on right now is a time travel trilogy. It's fun getting to research different areas of history and letting my characters experience a little taste of what it would be like to live in those times.

Lastly, but by no means least, family and close friends are incredibly important to me.
