A Trip of A Liftetime

In life it is not where we have been that matters but where we are going. There's nothing like the travel channel or looking through 1,000 Places to See Before You Die tto make you start to think about where you want to go. I have seen the beaches in Antigua, the wine country in Napa, the cliff dwellings in Mesa Verde and the colors in the morning sun in Bryce Canyon.…See More

FATE, COINCIDENCE,LUCK, or MIRACLE?

A little more than 72 hours ago, I was told that my husband (and I) had dodged a bullet. While my husband knew a little more than a year ago he had aortic stenosis (narrowing of the largest heart valve), we were told that in 5 years or so, he would probably have surgery. He was very good about keeping regular appointments with his cardiologist but this April when his three month check up arrived, I decided I would come along. I couldn't put my finger on it, but I knew that my husband…

5 THINGS I LEARNED THE HARD WAY

Posted on March 28, 2011 at 9:17am 0 Comments

There sometimes is no way to truly accept something but by learning it the hard way. I have been there and know while I would have much preferred to have these brilliant facts of life simply slip into my being without experiencing the sometimes awkward and often painful acknowledgment of their truths, I am at least relieved to know I have learned these at last.

1. WE ARE CREATED TO FORGIVE

Hi Kathy: Thanks for the friendship request. I'm afraid I don't drop here nearly as often as I should, but glad to connect with you anyway. Do you have a website and/or blog? You can find me at www.kathimacias.com. Blessings!

Hi Kathy, thank you for taking time to visit my site and my amazon reviews. Life is not always as it seems and you are right we don't always know or understand the depth of what people are going through. It can be very easy to mask things especially when you have done it for so long. I have taken a big risk in "exposing" myself in my book but I have found such freedom and the ability for even more healing at the same time. I have also found a treasure in learning I am not alone.

Thanks Kathy - I appreciate that you took the time to read and comment. It means a lot to me. I'm moving towards finishing the book based off of the posts from the blog over the past 3-1/2 years. Hoping to finish it while on vacation soon.

Hi Kathy, thanks for the "friending." You live in a beautiful part of the world! I'm originally from Mobile and still have the grandparents old beach cottage on Perdido Bay. I live in the Berkshires in Western Mass so I'm constantly on the road back and forth between New England and the Gulf Coast. I have several long-time friends that I visit with along the way and once the weather permits, I often go "the back way" up through the mountains. Look forward to your posts, Best, Nicky

Hi Kathy,

Yes, I am trying my best to find a way to use my voice and my mind to open up a difficult problem. Too few people don't think it is an issue. I am exposing myself to help break the understanding. And my Dad has been wonderfully helpful. If I could get in contact with a few children and anti-rape organizations, I may be able to build a platform to help shed the shame and save the children.
I am open to any advice. I am more than new, but I am trying.
Thank you for caring,
Cheers,
Renee
P.S. And yes please follow me and comment all you want. I am learning and improving as I go along.
