Do I Really Belong Here?

When I "became a fan" of She Writes on Facebook, and a cute little blurb popped up to say so, my mother responded, "Does this mean She is Writing?" I didn't respond. Am I writing? Really?I have dreamed of authorship since I read the Little House series as a girl. To fill an entire book with my own words, to see my name printed on the cover, to go to the library and find ME in the card catalog (it was a long time ago,) to go to the bookstore and secretly sign copies, so that some unsuspecting…See More

Hi Kim!

I live in Springfield (about 40 miles west of Columbus) and I also have a Special Needs child. The dx was very tough..but now I've found an endless source of material. Our life is so far from "normal" it borders on hilarious. I just had my first story published in the new Chicken Soup book, "All in the Family" about my son kicking the family out of our house on Easter so he could watch Barney. (NOT a fan of changes in his routine!)

I remember the card catalog, too..we must be old! It's nice to meet you.

Hi Kim,

Don't worry. The more you look around the easier it gets. To introduce yourself click on the group page and add a comment on the main thread on that page. Or you can start your own discussion. :)
