My quandary is to get my academically trained mind to step back and let the engine of my imagination rev up and take control. This is no easy feat. You see, in the western academy, one is taught to make a claim and prove it through exemplification, illustration, etc. Then one adds to that the testimony of a plethora of folks folks pleated in to support the thesis. Finally, there's the tedious Works Cited page(s).
