Have you written a book and are thinking “now what?” Just like the labor of love your writing is, so it promoting your book which can often be much more difficult than the writing part. Waking up one day and being discovered by Oprah and her book club or some high powered editor in New York probably won’t happen to most of us. However, it is still possible and realistic, through hard work and perseverance to make a living at being an author.
Creating an online presence and one within your community is key. Virtual tours, social media exposure, blogging, and having the materials to carry around with you at all times talking to people about your book is what will help put you on the map and money in your pocket. It is hard and can be discouraging but if you want it, you can make it happen.
