Thanks for accepting my friendship. I look forward to networking more with everyone. It can be frustrating in my "everyday life" no one understands the writing life. They think you just sit at the computer for a couple hours and shoot out a story...if only it were that simple. LOL.

I have found the networking to be very helpful--but more than that--communicating with likeminded women has been a source of encouragement and has helped to keep the "spark" in me burning. I no longer feel so isolated. No one thinks like a writer. No one talks to themselves in the mirror like a writer, and no one suddenly sits up in bed at 2 in the morning with a brilliant idea like a writer.I do not have all of the publishing credits that so many have, but I feel we are all in this together. Welcome aboard!

You might introduce yourself by telling us what you’re working on in the “Show Me Your Novel and I’ll Show You Mine” discussion if you're not too uncomfortable talking about what you're working on. I’ll look forward to chatting with you!

Quotes, Memoirs, and Books on Writing I've Read to Avoid...Doing It

Working on my memoir, I've turned to many, many (many many, too many) books with tips on how to get started, organized, and inspired.  I also read a lot of what other authors say about the process and will share quotes here, as well.  I'll begin…See More
