Who I am:

My writing is:
Nonfiction, Journalism
Services I offer to other writers:
The Woodhull Institute for Ethical Leadership is a nonprofit organization that provides professional development and leadership training for women. Woodhull offers Non-Fiction Writers' Retreats for Women (April 9-11, 2010). We believe that women's voices need to be heard! Women are underrepresented as non fiction authors and opinion writers. Thus Woodhull is offering our 12th Non-Fiction Writers' Retreat for Women (April 9-11, 2010) (http://www.woodhull.org/writersRetreat.php?id=1). Through the seminar participants will receive writing instruction, one-on-one critique, and fundamental knowledge about publishing in the non-fiction market. Our courses focus on writing op-ed pieces, features, book proposals, and pitching ideas. Please contact Laura Sinkman at 646-435-0837 and/or at LSinkman@woodhull.org for more information.

Laura, for posting about Woodhull, you should check with Kami Wycoff, who started She Writes. (It sounds wonderful to me, and I couldn't agree more about women being underrepresented, esp on Opinion pages. We certainly could use more Gail Collinses and Anna Quinlans.) You can find Kami by typing Kami into the search bar at the top of the page.
