I love collaborating with talented, funny, clever people; there's nothing better in my book. I never understand editors who make great writers jump through hoops; I guess they feel they have to justify their existence. (Hey, maybe that was my problem. No, I can be brutal when necessary. I think it had more to do with the fact that a) I was a highly paid vet; b) I was a mom who had "cut back" (ha!) to a four-day week and no longer wanted to stay till 9 every night for no good reason; and c) TV Guide is one of many dying magazines. To be honest, I really don't know how it hangs on; I'm only glad it does for the few friends who are still there. Yes, I'm in NYC, Brooklyn, Park Slope.
