I tend to joke that I emerged from my mother’s womb with the belief that the year was 1887, not 1987. I am an unabashed hopeless romantic with an incurable love of Byronic heroes, nineteenth century literature, and period dramas. I’ve been scribbling works of fiction since I was a little girl, and although I won’t be quitting my day job any time soon, I see myself first and foremost as a writer.
Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, I received a Bachelors of Arts in sociology from the University of San Francisco. At the moment I am pursuing a PhD in the same field, focusing on historical and cultural sociology with an emphasis in feminist studies. My research interests tend to bleed into my fictional pursuits, and I commonly utilize my favorite theoretical paradigms to gain a better sense of the fantasy worlds that I create.
