Checking two items off my career goal list

Posted on September 28, 2010 at 6:32am 0 Comments

I am blogging today at http://reflectionsinhindsight.wordpress.com about my career goals check list. Knocked two items off this year; one result appears in the new release of Harpstring Magazine, which has my short story "For All Those To Come." It's on sale now at magcloud: http://www.magcloud.com/browse/Issue/115880.

The tried and true formula for the “romance” genre goes something like this: boy and girl usually in their twenties, meet early in chapter one, have instant feelings of attraction even if they are hidden in comic accidents or acerbic wit or a classic problem (shepherds or cattlemen). The classic problem is soon overridden and the lovers… Continue

Not brave enough, even if I am excited

Third time's the charm, right? This time, I get to be proud and excited about a book launch. If I could only make myself stop combing the galley....stop it! Trust somebody for a change. I don't have any family close by, and although last time I invited my writing friends and book cub people, and two strangers from a nearby town's book club came...I'm just not doing that again. I'll do press stuff, virtual launches and book tables at… Continue

Hi Lisa,

I feel like we're swapping locations. Please don't go out of your way to rearrange your plans. Camping near Spring Green sounds wonderful! We are going to be meeting here at 1 pm on Oct. 9. I'll post also on the WI Writers page.

If it doesn't work out this time we'll just have to try again :)
