"Anybody in the Nashville, TN area? I'm doing a reading sponsored by GLSEN at the Main Library downtown at 2 p.m. It's about my new novel, Another F-Word, about bullying of a gay kid in the rural South. Stop by if you're in the area.…"
From the clay, tobacco fields and swampland of the dirty south and now living as a librarian-in-training on the northwest side of Chicago, Louise Tripp studied English with a concentration in creative writing at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She's currently at work on her second novel, while trying to get the first published and periodically blogs here: http://risktoblossom.blogspot.com/
She lives with her superhero feline, Merlin The Wondercat and in her spare time likes to alphabetize things.

Hi Louise! Welcome to the Southern Writers group. Please stop by and introduce yourself on the "Roll Call" discussion thread, and then just jump in and do what you like. Start a discussion, ask questions, or just tell us what you've been up to. We're a casual, friendly bunch :) Be sure to let us all know how you found out about our little group here on She Writes!
You made my day. I had the opportunity a few weeks ago to read from Dive at a beautiful garden in Brooklyn ... several pals from days past traveled from afar to converge and create a very special night.
I read from well you know that very dive-y scene and found myself with a few new readers intent on buying the book for the first time.
Be in touch, please -- let me know how your work is going. We'll see how I can help when you're ready to roll.
Welcome to the Bloggers Let’s Make it Work group! So glad you are here.
I hope you will find, as I did, a great sense of community, loads of information and resources, and an incredible amount of talent. Jump in on ongoing discussions or start one if there is an issue you would like to discuss.
Let me know if you have any questions. Look forward to reading your posts.
Louise, Welcome to the novelist group! You might introduce yourself by telling us what you’re working on in the “Show Me Your Novel and I’ll Show You Mine” discussion if you're not too uncomfortable talking about what you're working on. And we do a live chat every Wednesday; hope you can join us for that!
