I haven’t written a post in some time, because I was working furiously to finish the first draft of Uneasy Spirits, the sequel to Maids of Misfortune, my historical mystery set in 1879 San Francisco. The manuscript is now out to my first set of beta readers, I have just finished a week of family visits and entertaining my grandchildren, and, to keep from obsessing over whether my beta readers will like the new novel, I thought I would try to take stock of my writing…
Continue"Ahh" Samantha screamed, and runs down the SheWrites halls hair flowing behind her. She sees an open door, runs in and slams it. You hear the lock being bolted.
A few moments later the lock clicks and the door slowly swings open with the inevitable squeak noise. A nose and one eye peep out.
A small voice comes out from behind the door, almost a whisper.
"Okay, Ill take you up on it but realise my biggest word count accomplished in a given day on a novel was maybe 800." :(
LOL
Maybe for now we can just keep it that you are done by next May and I am done by next Feb and see where that goes, honestly I am still working on the outline and really cant do word counts yet.
Thanks so much for the encouragement even though it frightens me a little. Your already accomplished word count leaves me in awe!
