I'm proud to announce that I've joined a group of talented writers in starting a website aimed at raising awareness of and interest in the genre of visionary fiction. Though visionary fiction has been around for a long time - think shaman stories of ancient times - most agents, publishers and big book buyers don't recognize it as a genre. "No interest," they say. "It won't sell." Well, we at…See More
Joe Konrath made $100,00 in three weeks selling his self-published books on Kindle. He explains this phenomenal achievement in an article called "Reality Check," where one sentence stands out like the warning beacon on a highway patrol car. "In the…See More

by SwivLast Friday, I attended a memorial service for my friend's mother, Eileen. While sharing Eileen's life story, the minister held up a Holding Cross and said that it had given Eileen comfort during her final hours. The Holding Cross, he explained, was specially created to give patients something meaningful to hold on to…See More
In his book, Infinite Possibilities, Mike Dooley says, "Manifesting our dreams isn't about hard work--it's about belief, expectation, and above all, knowing the truth about our place in the universe."Dooley's words are the perfect introduction to an exercise we were asked to perform in my seventh Plug In class with Janet Conner: Visit and fall in love with your book's neighborhood. …See More
"Hi Susan. Yes, let's keep in contact. The best way for now, I think, is through She Writes, so your messages won't get buried among all the rest of the messages I get each day. I'm hoping to get a website…"

All writers need tools (Or should I say crutches?) to give them a boost when their writing is not going well. In my case, make that twelve. Twelve little crutches to support me as I limp through "The Between," from creating to publishing my work. Morning Journal. First thing every morning, I write in my journal. It's like breathing for me. Most often I start by…See More

Margaret. Thank you for the message, you made my day! And thanks for visiting my website and your positive comments. It's only been up and running for about 6 months but I love it and how creating it opened me up. Good luck with your decisions towards 'forward movement', sometimes change is exactly what we need. I would love to keep in contact with you but not sure what would be the best way. I have an e mail attached to my website, let me know. Peace to you Margaret. Susan
