Marie, I have no good reason for taking this long to tell you how much I enjoyed _Hunger All Inside_, other than the daily chaos. You've really brought to light the extraordinary in the ordinary, and it's so, so good to see poems about…

Marie, I have no good reason for taking this long to tell you how much I enjoyed _Hunger All Inside_, other than the daily chaos. You've really brought to light the extraordinary in the ordinary, and it's so, so good to see poems about mothering find their way into the world. "The Second Miracle" especially resonated with me, and I'm sure with so many mothers! I look forward to reading more of your work.

Hey Marie, I just ordered your book. Can't wait to read it! Thanks for reading my blog and your comments on my poem. I'm rethinking that last stanza now.

In a way it was appropriate that today I sat in the back room of a chocolatier and read your poems. He makes truffles and sometimes I sell them. They are rich, smooth and complicated. "You must eat them in 3 bites" someone said to me once.

Your poems-I read them now biting through images and rolling my tongue around words that somehow appear as simple as chocolate but in truth are just as rich, just as smooth and ever so complicated.

I hope you enjoy the book! I'll be at the Massachusetts Poetry Festival on the afternoon of Saturday, October 17, 3 p.m. at St. Anne's Church, 8 Kirk St., Lowell, MA.
