I'm Director and Associate Professor of Women's and Gender Studies at Roosevelt University in Chicago, where I teach courses in feminist philosophy, global feminist ethics, fashion theory, and philosophy of the body. I received a PhD in philosophy, with a graduate emphasis in women's studies, from Temple University. My research brings together Continental philosophy and feminist cultural studies, with particular focus on styles of embodiment, rhetorics of feminine authenticity, and cultural imperatives of self-transformation.

Thanks so much for introducing me to this site. I just checked out the nonfiction competition and wonder if we should go for it? So many interesting links to explore too.
PS. I too love your pic!!!
We are on, Marjorie: you are on my list! All's well. I am pleased to be connected.
Have always liked to be part of a team in anthologies. My last participation was in "Identity Envy: Wanting to Be Who We're Not" -- a queer collection of non-fiction, boys being girls and vice versa... We did collective readings in the San Francisco/Bay Area, very fun.
Marjorie, I don't find you on my friends' list. And yesterday I joined your interesting Anthology Group, but also see no trace of my message sent to the group... Odd, some activities just don't seem to register. Did you receive anything from me?
Very interested in your fashion book, by the way... Please join me as a friend!
Delightful news about the progress on and enjoyment of the book! My research is moving along; I'm writing an article this/next week called "The Pleasures of Civil War Ruins," which has necessitated forays into psychology, child development theory, and aesthetics. Just my kind of project . . .
