I am, you are, therefore I write. Daily life is fascinating, impossible to ignore. Aim to capture, savor, learn from each existing moment. Share. Write the art of life.

I've written several books, but there's one--the only one I've had published thus far--titled Goodbye Natalie Goodbye Splendour that I worked on for decades. Because it's a high-profile, controversial true story about an…

Some books are never "done" ....

I worked on my book for decades, gathering facts and scrutinizing interview value. It was published by Phoenix Books, a publishing company that closed its doors just when CNN got involved in my book and it took off. E-Reads Publishing saved the paperback and released the book for Kindle and other downloads just last month. At Amazon, we reached as high as #2 in True Crime, and #7 in Entertainment Biographies genres. But, although "Goodbye Natalie Goodbye Splendour" book is released with updated…See More

Thanks for your comment Michelle. I always laugh at an old Groucho Marx saying, ""I wouldn''t want to be a part of any club that would have me as a member," and SheWrites blew me away when I checked it out this past summer.…

Hello Marti! It's people like you who make me proud to be a member of She Write! You shoot straight from the hip and tell it like it is. I thought I was the only one who struggled to put my book, I Love Charlotte Bronte, together because most…

Its a wonderful book, and inspired me to add Natalie into my own anthology about spectacular women murdered by their husbands. Women who never recieved justice because their men got away with it. Ms. Rulli like me appears to understand that in the…

Important Petition for the late, legendary Natalie Wood

Even if you haven't read Goodbye Natalie Goodbye Splendour, you can see official poll results at my blog (www.martirull.blogspot.com) as to the ratio of those who believe the Wood case should be reopened as opposed to those who don't (9 to 1 in favor). If you feel informed enough to decide for yourself, please visit the petition and offer your opinion. You may sign anonymously and no personal information is required. What most impresses me is that…See More

Non-fiction aftermath

As I've mentioned before, my just released book, Goodbye Natalie Goodbye Splendour, is controversial as it tells of an account of the circumstances leading up to the death of the late actress, Natalie Wood. What astounds me, however, are the messages in the "comment boxes" that follow my Amazon.com reviews. I've rarely seen anything like it. Even with the latest Mackenzie Phillips release. Reviewers are trying to maintain peace with each other, but it gets out of hand. I just thought my fellow…See More

My Contribution to SheWrites Big Day for Female Authors 11/13/09

Posted on November 14, 2009 at 12:35am 0 Comments

Today I purchased six books from the scroll across SheWrites site. I am truly proud to be a member here, and feel overwhelmed to be in such talented company. My book has been doing fairly well, but has truly met its media challenges because of the controversy surrounding it. It's been a struggle even with a high-profile name attached to it. I worked damn hard on it for an outrageous amount of years and one of my proudest moments was to see it in the scroll here.

What else did I do… Continue

PW should choose 10 books form the SheWrites' book scroll today...

Posted on November 13, 2009 at 2:53pm 0 Comments

PW should select ten books of their choice (after reading more than 10) from the list scrolling by at SheWrites website today and feature their ten picks in an upcoming edition of their magazine (Review of Women Authors Only could be the title!) From titles and descriptions alone, I don't see one book scrolling by that appears it wouldn't be worthy of critical appraisal and review. PW could do the feature on SheWrites' authors and mission. That would be a nice recognition for them to… Continue
