- Mary Hale is my first name, not plain old Mary. I'm struggling with a revision of my memoir, "Journey with a Birder." The Birder is my partner Sue; the journey is the one she set me on - replete with birds, facts, and many places.

- My publishing life is haphazard, including a few travel articles published in such diverse outlets as the Buffalo News, the Philadelphia Inquirer, and Caribbean Travel and Life.
