Mary Newell, a writer and educator, lives in the lower Hudson Valley. She has taught literature and writing at the college level, most recently at West Point. She received a doctorate from Fordham University in American Literature and the Environment, as well as an MA from Columbia University. Her publications include essays, reviews, and poems published in
Earth’s Daughters, Chronogram, Written River, About Place, First Literary Review East, Jivin’ Ladybug, Kind of a Hurricane Press’s Best of 2014 Anthology and their The Four Seasons Anthology (2015).
