Recommending My Sisters Made of Light by Jacqueline St Joan

This novel was published in 2010 by an old friend who has long been a lawyer, a judge, and a human rights activist, but has now written her first novel, inspired by a Pakistani woman who risked her life to rescue women about to be brutalized or killed in honor killings.
