Who am I
I am retired from 32 years as a private investigator. I worked for the defense of people charged with capital crimes. I live in the San Francisco Bay Area, but worked all over the US researching my clients' families and defending against Federal as well as State death penalty prosecutions. I'm enjoying having time to read and to write.
Books I've written, anthologies I've contributed to and any scripts or plays I've authored
I don't write books all that often. In 1997, Bell Tower, a division of then Random House, put out a memoir I wrote, Altars in the Street, about my job and surviving the crack epidemic in my neighborhood. In 2003, St. Martin's published my biography, Meena, Heroine of Afghanistan, the Martyred Founder of the Revolutionary Association of the Women of Afghanistan. I was able to donate all proceeds to RAWA. Essays I've done have been anthologized.
I'm part of these writers' groups or salons
I'm in an informal group of women who write.
